What's the Buzz on Solitary Bees?

You've hear that bees are in trouble, but what can one person do to help?

Learn about solitary bees and how to encourage them to pollinate your yard and neighborhood.  It's easier than you think!

  • Solitary bees don't swarm or make hives--you don't have to be a "beekeeper"
  • Every female solitary bee is a "queen" and the males have no stingers.  It's very rare to be stung by one.
  • One mason bee can pollinate as much as 60 honeybees!
